School Shorts: when cinema enters the classroom

Independent cinema lives on side glances, on stories born at the margins that find their collective breath in the theatre.

The Adriatic Film Festival programme weaves together debut works, research documentaries and short films from more than forty countries.

A view from the Mediterranean

Duis aute irure dolor in reprehenderit in voluptate velit esse cillum dolore eu fugiat nulla pariatur. Palazzo Sirena, overlooking the Adriatic, becomes a cinematic square where audience, filmmakers and critics meet every evening at sunset.

“Independent cinema is the lingua franca of those who look at the world without filters: it is born at the margins and finds a home in a square by the sea.”
— Guido Casale, AFF Artistic Director

Guido Casale's vision puts authorial freedom and the discovery of new voices at the centre, in dialogue with the great masters of European cinema.
