Education
The Adriatic Film Festival devotes an important part of its activities to Film Education, bringing children, teenagers and students closer to cinema as a tool of knowledge, expression and participation.

Our mission
Our educational programme promotes film literacy among young people through screenings, workshops, school activities and practical filmmaking experiences.
The programme aims to develop critical thinking, audiovisual awareness and creative skills, giving students the opportunity to understand cinema as both a cultural form and a tool for communication and expression.
Paths
The Adriatic Film Festival’s Film Education programme promotes a deeper understanding of film and audiovisual language through educational activities, school programmes, screenings and practical workshops.
The programme provides students with the tools to interpret and critically engage with audiovisual content, while encouraging creativity, personal expression and active participation in the filmmaking process.
Students take part in the Festival’s official selection through a dedicated Student Jury, attending screenings and awarding a dedicated prize. This experience gives young audiences the opportunity to engage directly with cinema and develop critical skills through the evaluation of contemporary works.
A selection of shorts and feature films is brought directly into schools, creating opportunities for discussion and reflection on relevant contemporary issues, including rights, the environment, identity and inclusion.
Practical workshops in screenwriting, acting, directing and editing introduce students to the different stages of audiovisual production, encouraging creativity, collaboration and the development of their own expressive voice.
